Tigers Centre Collis Moves On

With the Wests Tigers 2009 season all but gone and our Premiership year of 2005 finally put into the past, the clean-out of some players and freeing up some of the Salary Cap for the future is beginning to happen.

The most recent player to leave is centre, Dean Collis.  He joins fellow Tiger, John Morris at Cronulla.

The reception of this news from Wests Tigers fans has been greeted with mixed feelings.  The larger consensus seem to think it was in the club and Collis’ best interest to move on.  He has spent a lot of time injured over the last two years and there are some excellent prospects for Centre coming through the grade.

He is a junior representative that never quite lived up to expectation after representing at City Origin.  He has struggled at times to find confidence and consistency in First Grade and a run of injuries has not helped.

Wests Tigers fan hope Dean Collis find form and confidence at the Cronulla Sharks.  Best of Luck.

The Origin Blue

It is a shame that it was Steve Price for QLD that ended up having to be taken off in a stretcher. He is one of the few nice guys in the QLD side and is not a dirty player.

It all happened because Cameron Smith punched Brett White in the head whilst White’s head was down. White logically thought it was Price and it was on.
